Should I be happy? Dad is going to get married again. I understand that Dad had been suffering since mum’s death. But I really can’t accept that Josh’s Mum is the bride. Both of them still don’t know anything about Josh and I. Should I tell them? What will happen then? When I look into their eyes, I see happiness. I couldn’t just break their heart. Even Josh doesn’t know what to do.

Both of us quarrel a lot lately. Not just because of the upcoming wedding between our parents, we just can’t keep everything as a secret. We secretly date each other and sometimes I feel guilty. I talk to Josh but he refuses to discuss about it. I said that our friends will be glad to know that we are together but he denied it. He said that not all of our friends will be reacting like that. I asked him why but he didn’t answer. Josh is like that, he always keep everything in person. I am sure that he knows something.

However, he still goes to Dr Mel’s place. I feel lonely because I can’t find anyone to talk with. George goes to California for his studies. Rose moves into his father’s house at New York. Alex just leaves without saying goodbye. Five of us now are separate.

I’m totally cherished. Josh finally confesses with me that he loves me. We kissed but both of us want to keep this down. We want to wait for a suitable to tell George, Alex and Rose. Five of us always hang out together and we don’t know what are their reactions after knowing Josh and I being together.

Today, we go out to have some fun with Josh’s brother, Ryan. He just came back to visit Josh and his mum. However, Josh seems to hate Ryan. They talk less. I ask Josh but he doesn’t let me know anything. The only thing I know is that Ryan tries to make Josh happy. I’m sure that something was happened during the past and affects their relationship.

Ryan gives Josh a camera for his last month birthday. Josh just says thanks and smiles a bit. We take a lot of picture but mainly are between Josh and me. So, I decide to take an action. While walking down the street, I ask a passer-by to take our picture, the three of us. Later on, I take picture with Josh and Ryan separately. Too bad that Ryan will be leaving soon. He asks me to take good care of Josh. I know that Ryan is actually loves his brother but Josh still doesn’t tell me what had happened.

           Today is my birthday. Finally, I get to celebrate my birthday with dad this year. Dad always says, “Mandy, I’m sorry. I’m really busy. I promise that I won’t miss your birthday again.” He gives me a diary book as a birthday present. I’m now writing on it. Dad cooks a fancy meal for me. I never see him smiling like that since Mom left us. I know that he wants to keep himself busy so that he won’t have time to think about Mom.

However, I’m not just happy that Dad is with me. I get a new friend today. His name is Josh and he is same age as I am. Well, Josh and his mother move to the next door today. Dad asks them to have fun with us. We chat and get to know each other more. Josh will be studying in the same school with me. We really have a lot of common. Both of us are raised by a single parent. But he doesn’t tell me anything about his father. So, I still don’t dare to ask much.

From now on, I know that I won’t be bored again because Dad’s company is well-established now and I have a new friend to talk with besides Rose. Rose doesn’t like to talk. Every time we hang out together, I’m the talking one and she just listens. The most important is I can share all my feelings with my lovely diary.

Murderer – What are you talking about, George?

G – That night, you went to Josh’s apartment. I think that both of you chatted a lot. Then, you put the pills into his cup. After he drank it, you took your action. You used cloth to hold a knife and put it into Josh’s hand. You tried to make it seems like Josh killed himself. This crime was happened and don’t deny it. Why and how could you do this! We are friends! We nearly thought that Mandy did these.

M – I need to make things clear. The man I love is still Josh not Ryan. I never betray him. The photos were taken when three of us hung out together. I knew that Josh was too stressed when my father married Aunt. That’s why I recommended Dr Mel to him. Later, Ryan shot my father. Josh was too mad at Ryan and confronted with him but he never told me. When I found out, I rushed to his house but I didn’t see Ryan. After few days, I reported police. I went to Josh’s apartment and I saw a video tape. I watched it and I saw you murdered your own friends. I took it and ran away. Then, I called George.

Murderer – He recorded it? I never thought that I could do these. It went smoothly until that stupid letter drew your attention! I made out the false relationship between Mandy and Ryan but it failed anyway.

JM – You are the one who told me these and I gave the wrong clue to Rose!

R – No wonder that day, you kept on telling us that the letter was just a joke! How could you, Alex?

A – I knew that Josh was dating Mandy but he wasn’t serious. He was just flirting! I was the one who love Mandy from the beginning! I told Josh and asked for his help. You know what he did?! He just dated Mandy and betrayed me! Both of them betrayed me!

M – You are wrong, Alex! We were together long before you told him! He couldn’t break your heart and he thought you will understand when you saw us! That night, he was the one who asked you to come over, remember?! You misunderstood him! He said before that you are his best friend and he won’t betray you …. (Crying)

R – Finally, I know that Josh love Mandy. I moved to his apartment and lived beside him. No wonder he rejected me… (Crying)

G – I misunderstood Josh too. I thought he killed Mandy’s father.

JM – Mandy, I need you to know something. He planned to marry you. That letter that you all found in his room was actually a letter to you. He told me about his plan. He wanted to write “I was killed by your love but I will be saved by our marriage.”

All of them cry at the same time but they feel relief after revealing all their own secrets. Josh’s mum and Alex surrender by themselves. Ryan’s body is found. Mandy barely eat and speak but George and Rose try to accompany her as much as possible. Because of love and misunderstand, this unfortunate incident happened. Because of keeping secrets, they face the consequences. They become victim to their own secrets. Sometimes, they wonder, if they didn’t keep secret from each other, what would happen?

They are desperate to find the answer. However, every time when secrets revealed, they don’t accept the truth. That night, each of them clean up their dirty work and meet again at Josh’s house. They want to end the misery at the place where everything begins especially Josh’s mum need to know the truth. Everyone is inside the house now. Doorbell rings. Josh’s mum opens the door and welcome Mandy. Alex and Rose are shocked but say nothing. In a flash of lightning, the house is blackout but they don’t panic. Instead, Mandy help Josh’s mum to take out the candle to light up the living room.

Voice #1 – The whole thing begun 3 years ago when Aunt married to Mandy’s father. No one knew at that time that Mandy and Josh were actually couples. Josh started to feel guilty because he and Mandy were related in laws. That’s why he went for Dr. Mel. Ryan was just a gangster who stole from others. One day, Mandy’s father saw him stealing. They caught into a fight. Accidentally, Ryan shot him. Josh and Mandy knew and confronted with him. Ryan felt betrayed and fought with Josh. Ryan was killed but it was not Josh or Mandy who did this. I believe it was you, right? You killed your own son, Aunt.

Josh’s mum remains silent. Tears are coming out from her eyes.

JM – Ryan was too much. He was a burden for me! I can’t sleep everyday because of him! I was worried about him being caught. But then, I couldn’t accept the truth that he actually shot him! If that day, I just stood there and watched, he would have killed Josh too! I have no choice! Mandy was not there when I stabbed my own son. Only Josh knew. He was too weak! He couldn’t stand of the stress on keeping secret! Then, he ate sleeping pills and stabbed himself to cover my sins…

Voice #1 – No, Aunt. Josh was actually murdered and I knew who did this. We inspect together to find out the truth. However, not all information was the correct one. The murderer gave us fake clues so that we fail and it was you!
