Michelle’s Story

            Insp. Ron was looking for Michelle. However, she went back home. According to the nurses, she was off duty. So, the team went to her house. She was at home when the police arrived. They brought her to the police station.

R – Michelle, how long had you worked in here?

M – Two years.

R – You know Kelly well?

M – Yes. I had been taking care of her for the two years.

R – How was her emotion lately?

M – She was fine as usual. She was an optimistic person. She won’t do something stupid.

R – Someone saw you when this incident happened. You were shivering and wet. Why?

M – I was at the roof top. I was depressed because my other patient just passed away. I was holding an umbrella, enjoying the night scene to relax.

R – You were at the roof top all the time. Tell me what did you see?

M – I’m not sure about what I saw. At the other end of the roof top, I saw 2 black figures. I didn’t know who they were. It was dark.

R – What happened next?

M – The next thing I know. One of the dark figures fell down from the building. I was shocked and my umbrella fell off from my hand. I’m too scared and I ran away.

R – Why did you go home without letting us know?

M – I was scared!

R – Are you hiding something from us?

M – I’m not sure whether it was true or not. I saw Nicole arguing with another boy. I heard the word revenge. I don’t know anything.

R – Who is the boy?

M – I think he is Kelly’s friend too.

Nicole’s Story

            After questioning Mrs. Ally, it was Nicole’s turn.

R – You’re a close friend with Kelly, right?

N – Yes.

R – As far as I concern, the visiting hours had passed. Why are you in the hospital at that time?

N – I live nearby. Is there anything wrong that I care about my friend?

R – I’m just curious. Tell me what did you see?

N – I never went back home because of the weather. I was stuck in the hospital. I decided to wait for the rain to stop. I know Mrs. Ally was there with Kelly. So, I rested at the cafeteria. I fell asleep. It was still raining when I woke up again. I got up and walked around the hospital. Then, I heard a loud bang. I saw doctors and nurses ran down to the ground floor. I thought there was an emergency patient waiting for help. I didn’t bother much. Later, I found out that Kelly had an emergency. I looked for her and I saw Mrs. Ally sitting outside the operation room.

R – How do you think of Kelly?

N – She’s funny and smart. She beats me in every exam even though she is weak. Inspector, you can ask your son about Kelly. She doesn’t have many friends.

R – Did Kelly act weirdly past few days?

N – None at all.

R – This is the last question. You mentioned that you waited at the cafeteria. Are you alone?

            Nicole looked at the inspector and said no.

Mrs. Ally’s Story

            Kelly was sent to the operation room. Mrs. Ally was sitting on the chair outside the room, she was crying. Nicole came and stayed with Mrs. Ally. After 10 minutes of waiting, the doctor came out from the room. He looked at Mrs. Ally and sighed. He couldn’t save Kelly. Mrs. Ally fainted. When she woke up, she was lying on a bed. She wasn’t alone. Nicole was there with two polices. One of the officers introduced himself.

R – Mrs. Ally, I’m sorry for what happened. I am Insp. Ron who is in charge of this case.

            Mrs. Ally remained silent.

R – I know this is not a good time but there’s something wrong with the case.

A – What do you mean?

R – We’re investigating whether the victim, Kelly was killed or committed suicide.

A – She must be killed! She wasn’t the one who is going to kill her own!

R – Mrs. Ally, please calm down. This is the reason why we’re here. I need to ask you a few questions. What happened before you found her body?

A – I was watching the news with Kelly. I was too tired and I fell asleep while watching the show. I’m sure that Kelly was awake by that time. It was raining, it was a downpour. In a sudden, thunder stroke. I woke up. Then, I noticed Kelly was missing. The door was opened. I worried about her. She had not recovered yet. So, I looked for her the entire hospital. I went to the ground floor after I heard a loud bang. Everyone was standing in front of the main entrance. I had bad feeling and ran towards them. It was Kelly.

R – Few days before, do you notice something weird about her?

A – She was fine. She stayed at home and nothing was wrong.

R – How was she at school?

A – She is friendly to everyone. She scored in her recent exam.

R – Does she have boyfriend?

A – I don’t think so. If she did have, she might have told me.

R – Mrs. Ally, thanks for giving these information.

A – Wait a minute. When I was searching for Kelly, I bumped into Michelle, she was shivering and wet. I asked her what happened and she ran away.

Death

            Kelly opened her eyes and saw Michelle.

M – Hi, Kelly. We meet again.

K – I fainted again?

M – Mrs. Ally sent you here. She went back to get you some clothes. Congratulations for achieving good results.

K – How do you know?

M – Your friend, Nicole was here. She wasn’t alone. There was another guy but I don’t know him. They quarreled and that guy left. Nicole stayed for half an hour and went back home. Don’t worry so much. You just rest. I’ll get going now.

            Kelly lied on her bed, looking at the ceiling. She wanted a long sleep, a dreamless sleep. It was 6pm when she woke up again. Mrs. Ally was standing in front of her bed. She was pouring soup into a bowl.

A – Kelly, are you hungry? I bring some soup.

K – Mrs. Ally, thanks but I’m not hungry now.

A – You need to eat more nutritious food. You’re weak.

K – Are you staying with me tonight?

A – Why?

K – Look outside. It’s raining heavily.

A – Look like storm visits earlier this year. Never mind, I bring extra clothes. I’ll stay here tonight. Here, drink this soup.

            Kelly drank the soup and felt warm. She knew that she will miss this kind of feeling. She stayed awaken until Mrs. Ally fell asleep on the couch. She got up and walked out of the room without waking Mrs. Ally up. The nurses were busy chatting among themselves. She walked to the staircase. She went to the roof top. It was still raining but she didn’t care about getting wet. She walked slowly to the boundary and looked at the nice night scene from a high altitude.

            Ten minutes later, all the staff heard a loud bang. They ran out from the building. Some nurses screamed and asked for doctor’s help. Mrs. Ally ran out too. She ran towards Kelly and hugged her. She cried out loudly.

As i was sitting in the bus, my sis called me…"call the neighbour to inform that the shop beside my dad’s shop was on fire"…then i called them…they owned a shop across my dad’s shop…i was outside, going for my tuition…after class, i went back home n saw the bomba…i walked in n had a look…well, it’s not an April fool prank…it was a fierce fire…

Luckily my dad closed the shop last year…this meant nothing left at the shop…therefore we were quite calm when we heard the news…the cause of fire…i dun know…then i looked back the photo my sis taken earlier…well…it’s not a small fire…no kidding…

In the end, the fire affected just little bit of my dad’s shop…nothing severe…as the rain helped…i surely believe this is the hottest news of the town…what a surprise…

* then, at 8pm…v heard that the fire rose again…what the hel*, it was true anyway…i went up to the balcony n had a look…the roof top of second floor of my dad’s shop was on fire after spitting out smoke for a long time…no harm for us also bcus it wasn’t in use anyway….the bomba came n save the day for the second time….
